JCILPSSW demands punishment

The JCILPSSW demanded punishment of Surjit Paul (24) who allegedly ill-behaved with a girl in an auto.
In a press conference at DESAM office today, Joint Committee ILPS Students wing's convenor M Angamba Meitei related the incident.
He said, the incident took place inside a RIMS-Bazar servicing auto owned by one Mungboi Zou.
The accused, s/o Sibu Paul, originally a resident of West Bengal, currently lives in a rented house at Uripok Sinam Leikai.
According to Angamba, the accused misbehaved with a co-passenger, a 15 year old girl, inside the running auto.
The accused was beaten badly by the public before the police picked him up.
Condemning the act, Angamba demanded severe punishment of the accused before the public within two days timeframe.
Failing of which, the convenor warned, the committee will resort to various forms of agitation.
RIMS gate Diesel Auto Drivers cum Owners' joint secretary Th Ibochouba also condemned the act.
He appealed the Government to ensure that such incidents do not repeat in the future.
