Youths exhorted on their day

Imphal, August 13 2014 :
A seven-day long International Youth Day observance being observed jointly by Manipur State AIDS Control Society (MACS) and Red Ribbon Club of GP Women's College began at the auditorium of GP Women's College here on Tuesday.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Dr SK Chourasia, Project Director of MACS; Y Chandrasakhi Devi, principal of GP Women's College and Dr Kh Jayentakumar, principal of Manipur College as Chief Guest, President and Guest of Honor respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Chourasia stated that the worldwide observance of International Youth Day started from the year 2000 in tandem with a resolution adopted by UN General Assembly and informed that the theme of the observance for this year is 'Your Mental Health' with 'Mental Health Matters' as its slogan.
He said that the observance is being held with an aim to instill encouragement to youths who are the future of the nation and exhorted the youths to possess the quality of discipline and perseverance for achieving success in their lives .
