RIMS holds cash prize essay competition

Imphal, February 10 2018:
Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) organised a State Level Cash Prize Essay Competition on the theme "What I can do for a Clean RIMS, Imphal" in connection with the Swachhta Action Plan today at its mini auditorium.
Many students from different schools, colleges and universities and Government employee participated in the competition which was held in three categories.
In the category I for Class V to VII, Greattina Naoroibam of Little flower School, Florida Sapam of Career Guidance Counseling Centre and Umalaxmi Thingbaijam of Heritage Convent got first, second and third prizes respectively while in category II for Class VIII to X .

Venish Keisham of Pitambara English School, Kirty Mukhiya of DAV Public School and Lukram Manao of Manipur Public School bagged first, second and third prizes respectively.
Whereas in the open category, Pravina Churaijam of Kendra Vidyalaya No 1, Lisha Kshetrimayum of DM College of Arts and Waikhom Mahesh Singh of Manipur University fetched first, second and third prizes respectively.
Prof A Santa Singh, Director, RIMS and Prof Ch Arunkumar Singh, Medical Superintendent attended the prize distribution ceremony held in the evening as the chief guest and president respectively.
Cash awards and certificates were distributed to the top three prize winners by the dignitaries.
Consolation prizes were also distributed to the deserving candidates.
Prof Santa said that the students are the pillars of Nation.
