Scholarship test for UPSC aspirants

The Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) in collaboration with G S Score, a Delhi based Civil Services Institute, successfully conducted a scholarship test for UPSC aspirants today.
The test was held across four States in the North East region namely Manipur, Meghalaya, Assam and Nagaland apart from New Delhi, under the supervision of the respective KSO Branch.
The test was successfully conducted at Lodestar Public School, Khongsai Veng (Imphal Centre) which was supervised by KSO General Headquarters and KSO Imphal Branch.
Around 200 applicants were received at Imphal Centre alone and 166 registered candidates appeared in the test for Foundation Course, GS Mains and Optional for both Prelims and Mains preparation.
Shon Baite, General Secretary, KSO-GHQ said that the motive behind this merit based scholarship is to provide 75 per cent scholarship to bright students/ Civil Services aspirants who wish to attend coaching but could not afford the usually expensive fees.
He continued that, based on performance in the written test today, top 10 meritorious students will be awarded 75 percent scholarship, 50 percent for top 20 and 25 percent for top 30 while the institute is also offering 20 percent off on fees to any students who wish to enrol through Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO) .
He further said that the results of test will be notified shortly by the institute through SMS and e-mail provided by the candidate.
Meanwhile, the student body expressed gratitude to the Lodestar Public School, Khongsai Veng for their selfless support and cooperation towards the student body by providing the venue and assistance apart from their busy schedule.
