Saplings planted at Sadu Chiru

Online Youth Forum (OYF) in association with Sadu Chiru Village Authority and NSUI Manipur State organised a plantation drive at Sadu Chiru village today.
Around 50 saplings of different trees were planted by the volunteers of OYF inside Sadu Chiru tourism complex under the supervision of Sadu Chiru village chief TD Waikhular and NSUI Manipur State vice-president G Victor.
OYF spokesperson Th Kishan said that the plantation drive was carried out with an aim to preserve the natural beauty of Sadu Chiru waterfall area, which is fast emerging as a favourite destination not only for the picnickers of the State but also for tourists from other States.
He said that OYF is a network of youth which strive to work on different social issues through communication on internet and social networking sites.
Saying that OYF had recently conducted a cleanliness drive at Ema Keithel, Kishan said that the forum would continue such social activities in future as well.
NSUI Manipur State vice-president G Victor said that today's plantation drive would not only enhance the natural beauty of the village but also encourage the youth to work for the society.
Sadu Chiru village chief TD Waikhular lauded the members of OYF for taking up such works in his village.
