Security forces have apprehended six activists of underground organisations from different places besides arresting a woman from who 'combat materials' and incriminating documents have been recovered.
A release of SP (IE) Th Radheshyam informed of the district commandos and troops of 32 Assam Rifles arresting two KCP cadres from Ningomthongjao area at around 6.30 am today.
Identifying the two as Ningomthongj ao residents namely Hidam Dara Singh (42) s/o (L) H Biramangol Singh and Yumnam Bishorchandra alias Kendra (32) s/o Y Budhachandra, the SP said one Nokia handset has been recovered from Bishorchandra.
Both reportedly disclosed of being active KCP members involved in extortion of money from the general public.

Later in the day at around 12.15 pm, a combined team netted one PULF cadre namely Md Tasiq alias Kali (32) s/o Md Shirajuddin of Keikhu Makha Leikai from Keikhu crossing with the captive disclosing that he joined PULF organisation in September 2006 through one Md Pureiromba of Keirao.
Md Tasiq was involved in extortion of money from the public and Government officials, the SP added.
A release by PRO IGAR (S) also informed of AR troops arresting one PULF and two UNLF cadres yesterday in addition to handing over the arrested woman to LJkhruI police station.
The woman identified as Miss Moley (45) d/o YA Shishak of Shangshak Khullen was arrested by troops of 17 AR during checking of vehicles at Lainbui Gate yesterday.
Items recovered from the woman has been listed as 16 coat combat, 19 trouser combat, 21 shirt combat, one arms distribution register, one VVI Kampost, 35 Raizan Katamnao Long forms 10 Zingsho Katamnao Long Oking Kamjong forms and two tuition fees collection registers, according to the PRO.
The PULF (Umar Faroque) cadre identified as Muskin alias Natun (24) s/o Md Noordin of Kairang Chingya was arrested by troops of 32 AR from Khurai area.
In another incident, based on specific information regarding movement of UNLF cadre from Myothit (Myanmar) to Imphal for medical treatment, troops of 20 AR located at Permanent Vehicle Check Post at Bongyang during checking of a Tata Sumo apprehended two UNLF cadres, the PRO said in a release.
The two identified as Maung Myint (46) and Tunwai (44) have been handed over to Tengnoupal police station today.
