CRPF's Civic Action Programme

Imphal, August 26 2013:
Under the aegis of IGP, CRPF, Imphal, Manipur, 86 Bn CRPF conducted a Civic Action Programme today.
During the programme, a large number of beneficiaries hailing from villages under Imphal West, Senapati and Tamenglong districts were provided various items like water storage tanks of 1000 litre capacity, PVC pipes, solar lighting system, sports items to three schools, cement bags for revenotion of Manipur Baptist Church community Hall, Chingmeirong.
Speaking on the occasion, Sunit Kumar Rai, DIGP, CRPF, Imphal said that this kind of civic action programme always targeted the potential beneficiaries so that the purpose becomes meaningful.
He also announced that similar activities will be undertaken for the development and promotion of peace and harmony among the people of the State in future as well.
Sanjeev Kumar, Commandant of 86 Bn CRPF, who delivered the welcome address, observed that the purpose of Civic Action Programme not only confines to the limits of maintaining police-public relations but also speaks loudly about the role of security forces in the administration/governance of the country.
