CRPF organises civic action programme

Imphal, August 26 2013:
A large number of beneficiaries from villages of Imphal West, Senapati and Tamenglong districts were provided assistance through a civic action programme of 86 Bn CRPF under the aegis of IGP, CRPF, Imphal today.
Water storage tank of 1000 litres capacity, PVC Pipe, Solar Lighting system, sports items and cement were presented to different schools, Church and villages during the civic action programme.
The beneficiary villages included S Laisang, Khonglong, Koireng, Chiru, T Laison, Tupui, Noney Part-II, Maranching, Khumji Part-Ill and Part V, K Senam, Sehjang, Thingkojang, Kharam and Rongkhong villages while three schools�Awangkhul LP School, Rongkhong-III LP School and New Nungsang LP School were given sports items.
Speaking at the occasion, Sunit Kumar Rai, DIGP, CRPF Imphal emphasised that the kind of civic action programmes are always targeted to potential beneficiaries so that the purpose becomes meaningful.
He also announced that such kind and more of other activities will be undertaken for the development and promotion of peace and harmony amongst the people of the State in future.
Sanjeev Kumar, Commandant of 86 Bn CRPF while addressing the programme, mentioned that the purpose of Civic Action Programme not only confines to the limits of maintaining police-public relations but also loudly speaks about the role of security forces in the administration/ Governance of the country.
