In recognition for his path breaking feats in Ayurvedic treatment for stone cases and sacrificing spirit towards the aged, North Eastern Council officials have asked noted Ayurvedic physician Laishram Nabakishore to present a project proposal.
The team of NEC officials, who were on a State visit called on the physician at his Sagolband Khamnam Leirak residence where the NEC Secretary Dr Kamal Taori conveyed the NEC's willingness to assist plantation of herbal medicines and setting up of a nature cure research centre at Imphal under his expertise.
Pleased at the treatment procedure and in recognition of the curative rate of Nabakishore of stone cases, Dr Taori asked the physician for setting up the research centre and preservation of traditional medicinal plants.
The NEC team also comprising of the Council's Manipur in-charge AK Reddy, RO (SSI) and guided by RIMS orthopaedist Dr Arunkumar and intern Dr Ratankumar also suggested that Nabakishore link up with RIMS in treating stone cases.
While assessing Nabakishore's clinic and impressed with the recorded success rate of treatment through natural means, Dr Taori also conveyed to the local physician of having discussed the proposed project with the health Commissioner V Chibber.
