Seminar on NEP 2020 held

All Manipur Recognised Private Schools' Welfare Association (AMRPSWA), Imphal today organised a one day seminar on National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at Manipur Press Club building, Majorkhul.
The inaugural function was attended by MP (Rajya Sabha) Leishemba Sanajaoba, AMRPSWA president Doren Khabanganba, SCERT Joint Director Jim Thingujam as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Prof W Nabakumar Singh, former Dean of Students Welfare, Manipur University moderated the seminar and Kh Dineshkumar Singh, Associate Professor, DM College of Teachers' Education; Dr W Jyotirmoy Singh, Associate Professor, DM College of Teachers' Education spoke as resource persons.
According to a release of AMRPSWA, three resolutions were taken during the seminar.
.1Prior to implementation of NEP 2020 in Manipur, AMRPSWA in collaboration with the Education Department or SCERT will be conducting a training course for the private school teachers of foundation stage (Pre-School to Class 2) .
.2A memorandum will be submitted to the Ministry of Education, Government of India to include about the regional culture, traditions, heritage, customs, language, philosophy and geography by 30 percent in the syllabus and curriculum of schools in Manipur.
.3A memorandum will also be submitted to the Ministry of Education, Government of India and Manipur Government to conduct a six months teachers training course for the primary teachers prior to implementation of NEP 2020 in Manipur.
