Manipur Baptist Convention Centre Church (MBCCC) organised National Health and Healing Sunday at the Centre Church, accompanied with a medical camp today.
State Health Society, Manipur, Director S Manikanta, Rashtriya Kishor Sasthya Karyakram State Nodal Officer Dr Jubilee Wahengbam, RIMS Psychiatry Department Head Dr RK Lenin, MBC Centre Church Pastor L Simon Raomai attended the event as the presidium members.
Members of Baptist Fellowship of Sagolband Salam Leikai sang choirs praising the Lord during the event while children from MBC Centre Church Ministry performed dance programmes.
Members of MBCCC also performed choirs.
On the other hand, the free medical camp which was organised as a part of the National Health and Healing Sunday was participated by 10 doctors, 2 nurses, 5 technicians, 3 AH Counsellors, 3 staff of National Health Agency and the members of MBCCC were provided free medical aids during the camp.
Speaking at the event, Dr S Manikanta said that the programme is a positive initiative and stressed on the importance of maintaining good health.
Pointing out that many diseases and ailments of the past have been cured today, he stressed on the importance of pregnant women in taking intensive care of their bodies.
Intensive attempts are underway to vaccinate the pregnant women as well as to deworm the children from the age of 1 year to 19 years, he said, appealing to all to avail the benefits of the initiative.
On the other hand, Dr Jubilee Wahengbam said that it is important for the parents to monitor the growing children.
Dr Lenin stressed on the importance of seeking professional help for any mental illness or condition as well as the importance of spreading awareness about the need to be positive and happy when it comes to the youth and growing children.
