CBI Imphal observes foundation day

Joining other parts of the country, the 49th foundation day of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) was celebrated today by the CBI, ACB Imphal Branch at its office complex located at Lamphel.
The occasion was graced by K Bipinchandra, Special Judge, Manipur West as the chief guest.
Among other dignitaries, the occasion also witnessed the presence of Additional Session Judge, Manipur East, P Imocha; Joint Director, HN Mishra; Joint Director of ICAR, A Narendrakumar; Retired Senior SP VP Ariya and Head of CBI Imphal Branch, RK Aggarwal.
Speaking at the occasion, K Bipinchandra said it was baffling to see tall buildings built by mid-rank to high rank State police officers.
He said, the Government should entrust agency like CBI to probe the assets of the state police officers.
RK Aggarwal said it was encouraging that the people of the State have faith in the CBI and had entrusted the agency to handle several cases.
However, no one has so far approached the CBI in case relating to corruption.
He appealed all concerned to approach the CBI for any case including corruption without any hesitation while adding that the CBI would handle any case without any bias in order to establish the truth.
