8th Governor's Taekwondo Cup begins

The 8th Governor's Taekwondo Cup, Manipur 2012 has commenced today at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium with Speaker Th Lokeshwar as Chief Guest.
MLA Tongbram Mangibabu presided over the inagural function while MLA Md Amin Shah attended as Guest of Honour.
Commonwealth Games Brone Medalist L Joypriya of UTA and Salam Bikramjit of SAI took the oath of the players who will be participating in the tournament.
In today's events, Umelly (UTA), Th Roshni (PTA) and Y Bijeta (CTA) won the first, second and third position in Sub Junior Girls' U-22 kg category.
In U-29 kg, Kh Alina (PTA) and S Loving (PTA) won the first and second positions respectively.
Dipa Aribam (CTI-S) and S Geetanjali (NSA) won the third places.
The first and second position of U-38 kg category were won by Pretna Nongmaithem (PTA) and N Helena (CTI-S) while Th Inaobi (NSA) and Babyta W (NSA) won the third places.
In Junior Girls's U-63 kg category, Vimmie Moirangthem (UTA) and L Nganthoi Chanu (Naoriya) won the first and second positions respectively.
Th Basanti (SAI) and Hathoikim Chongloi (NSA) won first and second places in U-55 kg category.
G Babina (UTA) and G Abetu (UTA) won first and second places in U-68 kg category.
In Senior Girls's U-62 kg category, L Joypriya (UTA) and M Sarjubala (UTA) won the first and second positions respectively.
N Dilip (NSA) and Md Arshad Ali (UTA) won first and second positions in Sub Junior Boys' U-32 kg category.
The third places were won by A Dikisan (CTI-S) and M Rahul (CTA) .
In U-25 kg category, Th Jack (UTA) and S Romesh (ESU) won first and second places while Th Robart (UTA) and H Roshan (CTA) won third places.
In Junior Boys's U-63 kg category, Y Karora (NSA) and Y Chingkheinganba (UTA) won first and second places respectively.
The third places were won by Sh Sonel (PTA) and N Narendra (SAI) .
The first and second places of U-41 kg category were won by Th Jackson (NSA) and S Somorjit (UTA) while S Ranjan (BBA) and I Birjit (Nambol) won the third places.
