Imphal, April 01 2012:
With the aim of promoting tribal literature, a union of tribal writers, Hill People Literary Union was formed on December 10, 2011, according to a statement issued by Angam Zatung Chiru, general secretary of HPLU.
Office bearers of the HPLU included Lanbon Kabui (President), Angam Zatung Chiru (General secretary), Gegen Vaiphei (Joint Secretary), O Ayung Raikhan (Treasurer), S Roma Chothe (Assistant Treasurer), Adibo Newmai (Editor), Dr Thathang Vaiphei (Editor) and Niomchung Jatak Chiru (Information and Publicity Secretary).
Interested tribal may contact the HPLU through telephone nos 9615146263/ 9089573795/ 9856144801, it added.
