Imphal, July 17 2016:
The JAC constituted against the death of Thokchom Kheroda has rejected the claims made by HOD in-charge of Obstretics and Gynaecology of RIMS, Dr M Rameswar.
In a statement, the JAC alleged that Dr Rameswar was simply trying to hush up the fault of Dr Trinity.
Had the doctors on duty given immediate and necessary treatment on time, Kheroda's life could have been saved, JAC said.
It further said that Dr Trinity did not come to the hospital till 11.30 pm that day.
Under Dr NK Singh's advice, Kheroda got inside the labour room on her own on July 5 at around 11.30 am and Dr Trinity was not present at the hospital at that time.
However, PG doctors informed Dr Trinity about Kheroda's condition at 1 pm, 1.15 pm, 1.45 pm and 8.20 pm over the phone, JAC said.
Saying that Kheroda went inside labour room at around 11.30 am and gave birth to a baby girl only at 8.25 pm, JAC questioned what Dr Trinity was doing during this time.
JAC claimed that Dr Trinity came to the hospital only when Kheroda was wheeled into OT at around 11.30 in the night.
Asking the RIMS authority not to defend Dr Trinity and hush up his faults, JAC urged the authority concerned to conduct a fair enquiry so that the truth comes to light.
