Reshmi Nandeibam of Pitambara English School, who secured the top position in the High School Leaving Certificate Exam 2020 conducted by Board of Secondary Edu-cation, Manipur, said that she wishes to pursue medical line and serve the people as a doctor.
Reshmi Nandeibam top-ped the examination by securing 579 marks out of total 600 marks.
She had secured letter marks in Manipuri (Meitei Mayek), English, Maths, Science, Social Science and Higher Maths.
Speaking to the media persons at her residence at Khongman Zone-V in Imphal East, Reshmi stated that she has been aspiring to become a doctor since her childhood.
"Since I am good in Biology, my ultimate target is to pursue medical science and become a doctor.
I will work and prepare at my best level till I reach my goal," she said with confidence.

Reshmi, born to Nandeibam Rishinanda Singh, a BSF Head Constable, currently posted at 182 Bn Koirengei and Rajkumari Sanahanbi Devi, is the eldest of two siblings and has a brother.
Reshmi said that she started schooling at Heritage Convent ( pre-nursery class) and after that she had to study till KG at BSF School in Takanpur, Madhya Pradesh, where her father was posted.
Upon re-posting of his father at Imphal, she studied at Standard Robarth Higher Secondary School from Class I to VIII before shifting to Pitambara English School, she said.
Attending a question, she expressed that the examination went too well.
"I hoped that I could be amongst the top 10 position holders but never expected to be on the pole position," said a surprised Reshmi.
She maintained that she had joined private tuition courses in all the subjects to ensure all the prescribed syllabus are covered.
"I had a normal study routine but gave extra efforts when the examination was closing in," she said while adding that it had helped her score big.
The topper also credited her success to family members, school and private tuition teachers, well-wishers and friends.
In a special message to younger fellows, she suggested that perseverance, firm determination and timely effort are keys to success.
