Govt schools find saviour in Iswarchandra, another

A student of Moirang Multi-purpose Higher Secondary School and a proud son of Ch Shwamichandra and Ch Nirmala Devi of Phubala Awang Leikai, Bishnupur district, Chabungbam Ishwarchandra Singh broke the stereotype that students of Government school could not perform well in big examinations as he bagged the 7th position of the HSLC Examination 2020 .
Speaking to our Bishnu-pur correspondent, Ishwar- chandra said that he is very happy to bring laurels for Government schools.

Continuing that he is little disappointed in his result (94.16 pc) as he had expected to get about 95 pc, Ishwarchandra credited his success to his parents, Education Minister, Education Director, Additional Director, teachers, elders and friends who had supported him.
He also thanked New life Boarding Centre, Moirang for guiding him throughout his preparations.
Stating that he didn't face much difficulties while shifting from a private school to Government school, Ishwarchandra said that Government schools do have some shortcoming when compared with the private ones.
When it comes to teaching, there is not much difference between Government and private schools, he said and added that Government schools have the potential to produce good students.
Speaking about his plan, the student said that after studying Science stream up to Class XII, he would start preparing for Civil Service exam to serve the State as a responsible man.
Father of Ch Ishwarchandra, Ch Shwamichandra expressed his gratefulness to the Principal and teachers of Moirang Multipurpose Hr Secondary School and Education Department for their effort to raise the standard of Government schools.
Ishwarchandra Singh studied at Diligent Public School, Moirang from pre-nursery to Class 1 and from Class 2 to 9 at St Xavier School Moirang.
He then shifted to a Government School (Moirang Multipurpose Hr Secondary School) in Class 10 .
He bagged the topmost position among students from Government Schools.
He scored a total of 565 marks and secured star marks in six subjects.
