CCpur, June 15 2020:
A 12 year-old-boy who was given a special clearance by the BOSEM to sit in the HSLC exam conducted in February-March, 2020 has cleared the examination with flying colours securing 72 percent with letter marks in English and MIL.
Talking to The Sangai Express later today, Issac Paulallungmuan humbly revealed that his result was a little short of his expectations but added that he was more or less satisfied.
The 73 marks he scored in Mathematics was a bit of a dampener he revealed.
"In the months leading up to the Board exams, my study hours often extended to 6 hours but before the exam mood set-in, I read encyclopedias and books outside of my school textbooks", claimed the boy who had undergone medical scrutiny to get a clearance to sit in the exams.
On enquiring about his aim in life, the boy cheerfully said, to be at the service of the Almighty God is a long cherished dream.
But when asked specifically about his interest, he quickly chipped in to say that he wants to be an IAS officer.
The son of a man who had not cleared the matric exam himself but runs a school in his village for his love for education said he will pursue Science in the next level.
Science, he revealed.
is the one subject that allures him more than the others.
He also refuses to identify any college or location in particular where he wishes to pursue his studies.
'I will be contented with whatever my parents could afford,' he claimed.
The eldest among 6 siblings of Genkholian, a resident of Kangvai in Churachandpur, Issac has been studying under the guidance of his mother, a BSc and also the Principal of Olive School, Kangvai that was set up by his father.
