One killed, another injured in blast

Ukhrul, February 05 2015:
A civilian was killed and another sustained serious injuries when a powerful IED exploded today around 11 am at a place between Nambashi Khunou and Khunthak village under Kasom PS in Ukhrul district.
According to a source, the two victims�Addison Jajo (36) and Hillary Keishing (34), both from Nambashi Khullen village, were riding a motorcycle towards Imphal when the blast occurred when when they rode past Khunthak and Tarong area.
Addison Jajo succumbed to injuries before reaching Kasom PHC.
Both his legs were said to have been blown off by the blast.
Reports culled from the spot said that the two victims were lying in a pool of blood on the road when delegates attending the STNBA triennial conference came across them.
They were immediately rushed to Kasom Khullen PHC.
Hillary Keishing suffered injuries at the leg, chest and head.
He is stated to be in a critical condition.
The motorcycle they rode was also damaged badly.
The mangled remains of the bike were found scattered on the road.
Police rushed to the spot to take stock of the situation.
No group or individual has claimed hands in the blast so far.
A team of doctors from Imphal rushed to Kasom PHC to conduct post mortem examination of the deceased victim and also to give medical aid to the injured victim.
Villagers are still in search of the missing legs of Addison Jajo.
