Kasom Khullen Subdivision Development Committee, Ukhrul district has lamented lack of development in the subdivisions.
In a statement, chairman of the Committee S Thotasheng alleged that the sub-divisions has been neglected even by the elected MLA concerned.
He informed that many portions of the road stretch from Chandrakhong to Kasom Khullen Headquarters have not been black topped for a long time and drainage system maintained.
Moreover, the power supply in the sub-divisions has been remaining cut off since October 15, 2002; he said, adding that lack of power supply has also affected functioning of the Community Information Centre and installation of Telecom machine.
In the domain of health care, the chairman further pointed out the only PHC and other PHSCs in the subdivisions has not been functioning properly due to lack of adequate staff and other requisite equipment.
The committee has highlighted these problems to the Govt though memorandum and media, but so far no steps have been taken up to redress the grievances of the people despite having given assurances.
