Thoubal, July 27 2014 :
If the health condition of human being is deteriorated, then everything has become meaningless.
So, there should be an effort for healthy life by leading a healthy lifestyle and healthy food habit.
This was stated by Social Welfare and Cooperative Minister AK Mirabai while attending as chief guest at the inaugural function of free heart and check up camp at Thoubal Mela ground.
The programme was organised by Sky Hospital & Research Institute, Sky Eye Care Foundation in association with Manipur Heart Foundation and Manipur State Blindness Control Society under the aegis of National Programme for Control of Blindness.
The Chairman of Sky Group of Hospitals Dr Lairikyengbam Shyamkishore Singh and Khangabok A/C MLA Okram Landhoni Devi attended the function as president and guest of honour respectively.
Addressing the camp as chief guest, Minister AK Mirabai expressed that the camp is very important on two counts as one could get check up for both heart as well as eye at the same location.
She further added that one is useless in the world if he or she lost the eyes and at the same time, a person leads a hard life if there is heart problem with the person.
The Minister also reminded the popular saying which runs as 'money is lost, something is lost; health is lost everything is lost' .
The minister then appealed the gathering to lead a healthy life so as to prevent medical expenditure.
