Imphal, March 18 2017:
Komrem Union of North East India while extending warm welcome to the newly formed State Government has expressed hope that special emphasis will be given to rural areas in executing various development steps.
In a statement, KRU president Laikhomang Serto said that road connectivity, law and order, administrative units, health care services and conservation of forest in hill areas should be given importance.
Laikhomang Serto also said that public complaint boxes should be installed at every sub-division headquarters and the grievances should be addressed without delay.
Staff selection commission of the State should also be established for recruitment of non-gazetted posts, the statement said.
Adequate extension agriculture/horticulture offices should be set up in rural areas so as to avail required technical services by the farmers, it added.
