Meritorious students feted

Thangal Anleinao Jonlong (Thangal Students' Union) today organised a felicitation cum career guidance programme at its Nteiramphung Peace Hall head office with Resource Faculty, MGCSW IGNOU (Nagaland) Dr Chand Thangmi and Intelligence Officer (Narcotics Control Bureau) Aram Anth as the resource persons of the programme.
Thangal Union, Thangal Women Union, TNBA, pastors, deacons, headmen/chairmen and members of various village authorities as well as parents, guardians of students attended the programme.
Dr Chand Thangmi in his speech on 'career guidance' emphasised on general career option while Aram Anth stressed on career in uniform service.
In the meantime, 40 students, who performed excellently in Class-X and XII exams under BOSEM, COHSEM and CBSE were awarded Taloula Memorial and H Chamran meritorious awards.
Altogether 13 successful students of Class-X examination under BOSEM and CBSE were honoured with Taloula memorial award sponsored by D Nathan, Manager UCO Bank, Bishnupur Branch while 27 successful student of Class XII exam under COHSEM and CBSE were presented H Chamran award sponsored by H Livingson, Manager, Reservoir ONGC Mumbai.
The felicitation cum career guidance programme was organised under the joint sponsorship of Thangal Sanui Jonlong, BK John, P Anthony, S Jilangamba, M Lungah and RK Joseph.
Mrs Apila, executive secretary (TNBA) took the Blessing Hour and prayed to the Almighty for the felicitated students for their bright future.
