Lamka, September 19, 2009:
Taking serious note of the crippling effect caused by the class boycott/closure imposed on educational institutions across the state, the All Tribal Students' Union Manipur (ATSUM) has appealed to the leadership of AMSU and MSF to revoke their hard stand against closure of educational institutions in the larger interest of the learning communities.
In line with its principle 'exemption of educational institutions', the ATSUM has been advocating free zone status to education, it conveyed in a press release.
It further appealed to the AMSU, MSF and all civil societies as well as the government not to disturb the normal academic functioning of all educational institutions in any form of protest movements.
