The Centre for Organisation Research and Education (CORE) has strongly condemned the alleged gross violation of human rights by security forces at Khonglong village under Sapermeina police station in the aftermath of the ambush upon a CRPF convoy in the morning of October 3.A press release issued by CORE has urged the State Government for immediate relief to those victims and adequate compensation for the lost of livestock and properties of the villagers.
It demanded that the State should arrange effective measure for public safety and restoration of peace in the village.
All security personnel found guilty in the incident should be awarded befitting punishment according to law, asserted CORE.
