Stolen vehicles recovered

Acting on a specific input, a team of Churachandpur police today recovered five stolen motor cycles from a house in Kwakta, about 15 kms from here, a damning evidence that a gang of thieves was behind the missing vehicles that were reported almost on a daily basis.
The police team led by OC Churachandpur PS, Elvy Tunglut, SI Thangpu Tonsing and SI Paulianthang today raided the house at Kwakta Ward No 6 at around 8am.They recovered two Honda Activa, one Bajaj Pulsar, one Bajaj scooter and Kinetic Honda along with water pump set with 0.5 horse-powers.
The police however made no arrest in the case as they claimed that only an elderly woman was found present in the house.
As the police have spread the news about the recovery and alerted those who have approached them about their missing vehicles, all but the Honda Activas were claimed by their genuine owners after producing the necessary documents before the police.
Police said they have been trailing on the missing cases for quite some time now as it received reports about missing vehicle very frequently.
Though they managed to recover some of the vehicles earlier as well, today's recovery surpassed them in its figures.
