TFO warns NPF MLAs

Ukhrul, March 18 2017:
Tangkhul Frontal Organization (TFO), a constitution of all Tangkhul civil society organizations including Tangkhul Headmen's Association, Youth Council, Women League and four zonals associations of Tangkhul today warned the elected NPF MLAs to take up all possible steps and revoke the creation of 7 new districts.
In a joint co-ordination meeting of TFO at TNL office, the members discussed the Naga issues and unanimously resolved to reiterate its demand to revoke the creation of new districts.
The meeting said that the new coalition Government should roll back the decision of creation of 7 new districts it has violated article 371 (C) and superseded the signed MoUs.
In case the new State Government fails to address the tribals' issue on time, TFO would intensify economic blockade and may also resort all types of agitation.
The meeting also demanded the unconditional release of UNC leaders president Gaidon Kamei and SK Stephen.
NPF MLAs should only support the Government that will back the signed framework agreement between the Government of India and NSCN IM, TFO said.
