175 test positive, 3 more die, active cases cross 1000

Imphal, April 27 2021:
The State recorded three more fatality from COVID-19 during the last 24 hours while as many as 175 people were tested positive at JNIMS, RIMS, Imphal West, Maipakpi Hospital, Raj Medicity, CMC, Mangal Hospital, Shija Hospital, Remedy Hospital, Babina Diagnostics, Escent Diagnostics, RD Wing, IRL TN, Bishnupur, Kakching, Churachandpur, Chandel and Senapati.
Manipur recorded 146 positive cases on April 26 and 140 cases on April 25 in line with the surging cases in the last few days.
Even as 50 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (36), Shija Hospital (12) and CAPF (2), the total number of active cases has surged to 1032 (general population 957 and Central security personnel 75) .
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, three persons aged 42 (male, Imphal West), 75 (female, Imphal East) and 64 (female, Imphal West) expired at Shija Hospital, JNIMS and RIMS respectively.
The cumulative number of deaths now stands at 393 .
Of the 175 people tested positive, three are CAPF personnel.
The 172 civilians belong to Imphal West (84), Imphal East (29), Thoubal (3), Bishnupur (26), Kak-ching (9), Chandel (2), Churachandpur (7), Kangpokpi (3), Senapati (8) and Tengnoupal (1) .
The cumulative number of positive cases is 30,742 (general population 27,215 and Central security personnel 3,527).It is inclusive of 29,317 recovered cases (general population 25,869 and Central security personnel 3,448) .
The recovery rate has now dipped to 95.36 per cent.
Out of 90 air passengers who were tested at BT Airport in the last 24 hours, two were found positive.
Air passengers who came to the State on April 25 by Indigo flight 6E-6181 in rows 16-21 and 6E-21 in rows 29-35 have been informed to report to the COVID-19 Common Control Room on 18003453818 or respective District Surveillance Officers immediately.
So far, 1,39,457 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the State, according to the latest information provided by the COVID-19 Common Control Room.
All persons above 45 years have been advised to get vaccinated immediately at vaccination centres of RIMS, JNIMS, district hospitals, CHCs, PHCs and select private hospitals.
