Land record computerisation : Bishnupur records 100 pc computerisation

Bishnupur district has achieved 100 per cent land record computerisation while the same process for other districts is targeted for completion by March next year.
Computerisation of land records was done jointly by the district administration and the NIC.
The computerised land records were formally introduced/inaugurated by Chief Minister O Ibobi at a function held today at Bishnupur DC office complex.
Among others, Commerce and Industries Minister K Govindas, Parliamentary Secretary M Prithiviraj, MLA Dr I Ibohalbi, MLA S Bira, MLA T Mangibabu and MLA N Loken were also present at the function.
Speaking at the occasion, Chief Minister O Ibobi declared that Bishnupur is the first district in Manipur which has achieved 100 per cent land record computerisation.

Noting that land records of all the 64 villages located within Bishnupur district have been fully computerised, Ibobi lauded the district administration and NIC for their commendable job.
As for the remaining valley districts and Churachandpur district, work is on to complete the land record computerisation process within the current financial year, Ibobi stated.
In his key-note address, NIC Senior Information officer Kh Rajen informed that computerisation of land records for 306 villages has been completed out of 604 villages enlisted under the project.
Ibobi and Govindas handed over computerised patta/land holding deeds to three individuals in the course of the function.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister O Ibobi has laid the foundation stone for a district mini sports complex at Phubala which would be constructed at the cost of Rs 9.40 crore from NLCPR.
The mini sports complex is targeted for completion within two years and it would have a main gallery, pavilion, basketball court, hockey field, indoor hall, track and field and a 60-bedded hostel with quarters.
The Chief Minister also assured that the sports complex would be built on Government's khasland and avoid encroaching upon agricultural land.
Later, Ibobi inspected the under ground parking lot being constructed near INA complex Moirang, Takmu water sports complex and Sendra tourist home.
