Active cases drop to 49

Imphal, February 10 2021:
The total number of COVID-19 active cases in the State has dropped to 49 (general population 38 and Central security personnel 11) thereby lifting the recovery rate to 98.55 per cent.
According to a press release issued by the COVID-19 Common Control Room, 11 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours.
The new cases were detected at Shija Hospital, Tamenglong, Churachandpur and Chandel.
They are residents of Imphal East (1), Imphal West (1), Thoubal (1), Kakching (1), Tengnoupal (1), Tamenglong (1), Churachandpur (1) and Chandel (4) .
The death toll stands at 373 as there was no report of COVID related death during the last 24 hours.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 29,148 (general population 25,718 and Central security personnel 3,430) .
The cumulative number of recovered cases after reconciliation with data from IDSP, home isolation, COVID Care Centres and Death Committee report is 28,726 (general population 25,311 and Central security personnel 3,415) .
Meanwhile, 13,654 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the State so far and this figure includes 2576 people vaccinated today.
The Government shouldn't wait for more stringent agitations to act, added STDCM.
