The State logged a daily positivity rate of 0.5 per cent as a resident of Imphal East district was confirmed positive out of 196 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours.
With no cases of discharge of Covid-19 positive people during the last 24 hours, the number of active cases has risen to eight.
All of them are civilians.
The death toll remains unchanged at 2120 as there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State is now 1,37,225 (general population 1,32,211 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
This figure is inclusive of 1,35,097 recovered cases (general population 1,30,090 and Central security personnel 5,007) .
The recovery rate as on Thursday is 98.45 per cent.
A total of 129 D-type oxygen cylinders and 12 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
All the 300 Covid beds of JNIMS and 190 of RIMS are at present unoccupied.
Taking into account 2215 doses jabbed yesterday, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 28,50,937 (first dose 15,58,092, second dose 12,07,277 and precautionary dose 85,568) .
Till May 4, 51.42 per cent of the State's total eligible population has received both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 61.68 per cent has been given the first dose.
