Thoubal police have pulled up a main accused in the murder case of Keisham Premila of Wabagai Thingel Leikai last night.

M Khelendro alias Amujao worked for three different UG groups.
He was arrested thrice by police and he was out on bail.
During interrogation, Khelendro admitted that he called out Premila on a mobile phone on March 25 and murdered her at Kakching Mahadeva hills after taking her to different places.

Police conducted intensive search operations since April 9 to nab the culprit.
Even as the SIM card of the mobile phone used by Premila was already removed, the location of the main culprit was tracked down using the EMI number of Premila's mobile phone handset, Jayanta said.
Saying that Mayanglambam Khelendro alias Amujao is under intensive interrogation, the SP informed that Premila's mobile phone handset has been recovered from Khelendro in addition to obtaining a number of telephone tappings which can be used as evidence.
The SP stated that a charge-sheet would be submitted very soon.
Saying that the badly burnt corpse recovered from Kakching Mahadeva hills has been confirmed to be that of Premila, Jayanta appealed to the family members to claim the corpse for performing last rites of Premila.
He further maintained that refusal of the family members to claim the corpse has been impeding police investigation.
