Mass testing and vaccination for COVID-19 held at Khurai AC

Imphal, June 09 2021: Mass testing cum vaccination for COVID-19 will continue at places where the rate of Covid positive cases are high in Khurai A/C .

The above statement was made by L Susindro, ML A of Khurai A/C while inspecting the mass testing and vaccination drive held at different places in the constituency today.

He continued that out of 130 persons tested today at lma Chingjoibi Community Hall at Khurai Konsam Leikai today.

18 persons tested positive therefore he has informed the District Administration and CMO Imphal East to continue the testing drive tomorrow as well in view of the high positivity rate.

The MLA also sought the support of the local clubs for tomorrow's testing drive and appealed to the locals to get tested in order to know one's Covid status and to take up necessary actions accordingly.

Face masks and hand sanitizers were distributed to those who came for the vaccination and testing in the drive organised by Konsam Leikai Gram Panchayat and FUC under the aegis of the MLA.

On the other hand many individuals contributed to the COVID-19 Relief Fund of Khurai Assembly Constituency.

The Relief Fund Committee thanked all those who contributed to the Relief Fund today namely L Kananbala, pradhan of Khurai Chingangbam Leikai Gram Panchayat who donated Rs 50,000, T Ichal, former pradhan of Khurai Chingangbam Leikai Gram Panchayat and Longjam Bhagaton, Project Director of Loktak Development Authority (LDA) who donated Rs 10,000 each, Khurai Nandeibam Leikai Gram Panchayat and ward members of of Khurai Chingangbam Leikai Gram Panchayat which contributed Rs 10,000 each and L Krishnagopal, president of Khurai Konsam Leikai Election Polling Committee 3/15 for donating Rs 2000 .
