MANIFA: Larei Lathup bags best feature film award

Kakching, May 16 2022: The 10th Manipuri Film Awards (MANIFA)-2022 were presented during a ceremony held at the auditorium of Kakching Dramatic Union located at Kakching Phoushupat Leikai on Sunday.

The event jointly organised by Thouna Manipur and Film Forum Manipur was attended by Manipur University of Culture vice chancellor professor Paonam Gunindro, Forum chairman S Mangoljao, Thouna Manipur president Yambem Satya Singh and secretary cum 10th MANJFA 2022 festival director Yengkhom Nilachandra as presidium members.

The awards presented at the event were best actor in supporting role (female/male), best costume, best make up, best child artist, best lyricist, best playback singer (female/male), best music director, best background score, best audiography, best choreography, best art director, best cinematography, best editing, best screenplay, best story, special jury award, special mention award, best direction, best actor in leading role (female/male) and best Manipuri feature film.

Apart from these awards, Maipak Sanahal Manipuri Jagoi/Eeshei Lifetime Mana 2022, Neta Irawat Leelaroi Lifetime Mana-2022 (Shumang Leela) and Neta Irawat Leelaroi Lifetime Mana-2022 (Manipuri Cinema) awards were also presented on the occasion.

Among these awards, the best actor in leading role (female) award was bagged by S Sonia for the film PTO (Liklam Tung Illakho) while best actor in leading role (male) award was bagged by Silheiba Ningthoujam for the film Larei Lathup.

Larei Lathup produced by Chandam Yaima Devi and directed by Ojitbabu Ningthoujam also bagged the 10th MANIFA best feature film award 2022 .
