Recruitment results of Primary, Upper Primary Teachers declared

The results of recruitment for Primary and Upper Primary Teachers conducted by the Department of Education (S) under Serva Shikshya Abhiyan (SSA) have been declared today.
Altogether 1947 candidates have been selected for the post of Primary Teachers and 574 candidates for the post of Upper Primary Teachers.
Among the selected candidates, 250 of them applied for both the posts.
Announcing the results at RMSA's office at Babupara this evening, Dr J Suresh Babu, Principal Secretary (Education-S), said that the recruitment of these teachers is based on the academic score achieved by the candidates.
The process of recruitment is done based on the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development and the Orders passed by High Court on various petitions.
He further stated that, in the first stage preference is given to those candidates who possessed B.Ed or D.EI.Ed, which is an essential qualification.
The left over vacancies are allotted to other candidates with relaxed essential qualifications.
The 250 candidates who have been selected both for Primary and Upper Primary posts have to either opt for Primary or Upper Primary and obviously there will be a vacancy of 250 posts.
Hence, 250 candidates have been placed in the waiting list, he explained.
