Imphal, February 29 2012:
The Maoist Communist Party, Manipur has affirmed to resist the alleged fake encounters unleashed by the security forces in Manipur.
Speaking to reporters somewhere on the Indo-Bangladesh border, Bureau Regional Member of Maoist Communist Party, Manipur Sanathoi Meitei said that the fake encounter incidents prevailing in the State would be countered with a mass political movement.
Militarily, as a defensive mechanism, the staged encounters would also be countered by awarding penalty to the individuals involved in it after establishing their identities.
The outfit is also committed to raising the issue in the International arena and launching a campaign in this regard, Sanathoi conveyed.
Sanathoi said, the Maoist Communist Party, Manipur is an International contingent of world proletarian revolution.
He further stated that the outfit's ideology is based on the experiences gained on revolutionary movement during over the last 150 years.
It is also committed to applying the experiences drawn during the period in Manipur in a suitable way.
The outfit would base the ideologies of Marxism, Leninism and Maoism in all its programmes and policies.
Stating that thousands of lives have been lost in the national liberation movement of Manipur, Sanathoi said that the Government of India, in its attempt to suppress the revolutionary movement of Manipur, has applied the divide and rule policy as a means to play down it as a low intensity conflict strategy.
Not only drawing the lines of communal divide, the Government of India has sanctioned a huge amount of money as a strategy to deviate the people from the revolutionary movement in the name of development.
The outfit was formed on August 11 last year to resurrect Maoist movement in the state.
As the outfit makes steady progress in all fronts, it is now committed to keep vigil on the fake encounter drama.
Even as life is very valuable for demographically small community like Manipur, the value of life seems nothing in the eyes of the security forces.
He said, for the security personnel life is nothing but a means to achieve award and promotion in their careers.
The outfit would not tolerate the excess and it would not remain as a silent spectator to this development.
He said, the outfit is committed to counter the fake encounters through its new democratic revolution while also seeking the cooperation of the public in this regard.
