FORCE beat SHADOW by 83 runs in Saturday's action of the 3rd MNCA Womens T-20 Trophy 2024-25, held at THAU Ground.
FORCE posted an imposing total of 207/2 before restricting their opponents to 124/7 in their 20 overs.
Opting to bat first, FORCE got off to a flying start thanks to a spectacular century by Barkatun Khanam.
The batter smashed 100 runs off just 61 balls, including 20 boundaries.
She was well-supported by Mehanaz (38 off 24) and Neha (29* off 23), as the team piled on the runs.
SHADOW (W)'s bowlers struggled to contain the onslaught, with only Priyanshee Hanglem (1/33) and Victoria Thokchom (1/35) managing to take wickets.
In reply, SHADOW faced an uphill task.
Viviene Laishram top-scored with a brisk 45 off 36 balls, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to build momentum.
The FORCE bowlers maintained tight lines, with Wakila Shani (1/13) and Kh Rukshad (1/6) standing out.
Nagama Sheikh also chipped in with a wicket, as SHADOW limped to 124/7, falling well short of the target.
