Imphal, May 25 2025: Green Ground Academy, PR English School, Kakching Model High School, and Martin Grammar School recorded contrasting victories in Sunday's fixtures of the Kakching District 64th Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament, held at Lamjao playground.

Green Ground Academy delivered a commanding 5-1 victory over Wabagai Higher Secondary School.

L Jafferson (4', 29') and L Gonesh (13', 25') each netted a brace, while A Pun-shiba added another (41').H Salaingamba (24') scored the sole consolation goal for Wabagai.

PR English School eased their way to a 3-0 win over Victory English School, with goals from Th Nganthoiba 28'), W Kennis (38'), and Y Adison (50').Meanwhile, Kakching Model High School triumphed over Elang Keinya High School in a penalty shootout after the match ended 1-1 in regulation time.

The shootout saw Kakching Model prevail 5-4, with successful penalties from Henish, Nilkamal, Jebush, Manikumar, and Joil.

In the other fixture, Martin Grammar School narrowly defeated Eureka Academy 2-1 .

N Bonyson opened the scoring for Martin in the 22nd minute, followed by Kh Sushil doubling their lead just two minutes later (24') .

M Loveson pulled one back for Eureka, but Martin held firm to claim the win.
