PTRC, FORCE post wins in Heibok Trophy

Imphal, January 30 2020: PTRC, Patsoi posted a 9 run victory against ESU, Wankhei as FORCE romped to a five wicket win against KSDO, Kyamgei today at Langthabal Pubic Ground in the ongoing 3rd Heibok T-20 Cricket Tournament.

In the Group B league match staged in the morning, PTRC posted a total of 139 runs for 6 before holding ESU to 130 for 9 in the chase.

PTRC's innings saw Bidash hit 33-ball 52 and Santosh added 24 runs in 24 balls before Alfred Hmar added 17 runs off 8 balls.

In ESU's bowling, Sanker and Herojit picked up two wicket each while Henary managed a single.

ESU however failed to build momentum in the chase as Sanker who made an optimistic start succumbed at 37 runs while Ronson and Chitaranjan made 22 and 16 runs before they finished with 130 runs.

PTRC's Jotin gradually became a threat and finished with a fifer in this innings while Bidash too had two wickets in his name to help PTRC open up their winning account.

Bidash was also named man of the match.

Meanwhile in the second match, KSDO bundled out for 55 runs in 12.4 overs after electing to bat first and FORCE chased down the target with a boundary in 13.2 overs with 5 wickets left in the hand.

Saddam with 13 runs off 11 balss was the highest scorer for KSDO in the first innings while Shajahal Rafique added 9 runs each off 12 and 15 balls respectively as Avinas shone with a fifer in 3.4 overs and Asar managed 4 wicket in 4 overs.

FORCE then rode on Subham (14 off 36 balls), Sadam (13 of 13 balls) and Shamir (11 off 12 balls) to post 59 runs and earn their third win on the trot, having beaten TCMDC, Thongju and PTCC Patsoi in their previous matches.

Shah Nawaz took 2 wickets in 4 overs and Shajahal and Lakimbur managed a wicket each in this innings as Avinas of FORCE emerged man of the match for his 5 wicket haul and 9 run contribution in the chase.

Al Ameen will meet PSC in the Group B League match tomorrow while YWC will play FORCE in a Group A league match.
