NYVA emerge as champions of District-Level Men's Open Volleyball Tournament

Imphal, October 25 2026: The 71 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) successfully concluded the three-day District-Level Men's Open Volleyball Tournament organised under the SPANDAN - Khelo India initiative at Kwakta Public Ground, Bishnupur district today.

The closing ceremony was graced by Suraj Singh Phougat, Commandant, 58 BN CRPF, as the chief guest, and Pramod Kumar Singh, Commandant, 71 BN CRPF, as the guest of honour.

Other dignitaries included representatives of CRPF battalions, local administration, municipal councils, and the volleyball fraternity.

Winners NYVA, Naorem; runners up YPC, Ishok and third place finishers SYPC, Saiton were encouraged with the cash prize of Rs 30,000; Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively along with trophies, medals, and citations.

Best Player, Best Setter, Best Spiker, Best Saver, and Best Defender were also feted with a cash prize of Rs 3,000 each.

To encourage grassroots sports development, every participating team was also presented with a certificate, a volleyball, and a volleyball net, said the 71 Bn CRPF in a press release.
