5th Thoubal District Boxing Championship 2025 commences

Thoubal, May 25 2025: The 5th Thoubal District Boxing Championship 2025, organised by the Thoubal District Amateur Boxing Association (THOUDABA), commenced on Sunday at the Mahesh Boxing Academy in Wangjing Heituppokpi Awang Leikai.

Sponsored by Yaichenba Construction Pvt Ltd, Thoubal Okram, the event saw 95 boxers from across the district.

In the junior girls' 48kg category, T Brainy claimed gold, while S Thoibichana secured silver.

The junior boys' 50kg category was won by N Pradesh, with Y Srinivash taking silver.

Among the elite women, H Karuna triumphed in the 48kg class, followed by E Thoicha in second place, while N Manda earned gold in the 51kg category, with Rosita Maibam claiming silver.

In the youth men's 55kg event, Th Naotomba emerged victorious, with N Paringanba finishing as runner-up.

The youth women's 43-45kg category saw M Aruna take gold, while L Chaoba Devi secured silver.

Meanwhile, in the mini boys' 35kg category, M Ronald won gold, and Mushram Shakil took silver, while in the mini girls' 46kg category, L Jayluxmi claimed the top prize, with L Lanthoi earning silver.

The championship concluded the same day, with the closing ceremony graced by Moirangthem Rajmani (Zilla Parishad member, Heirok), Konsam Michael (retired assistant director, SAI), and Dr N Rajivkumar (principal, IRE Group Institute, Wangjing), who presented medals to the winners.
