1st Kumam Nipamacha Memorial Men's Open Half Marathon on July 20

Moirang, July 07 2025: KN Singh Athletic Academy Moirang and Kumam Youth Club, Moirang are set to organise the 1st Kumam Nipamacha Memorial Men's Open Half Marathon on July 20 under the aegis of the Athletic Association of Manipur.

Athletes intending to participate in the 21 km run may submit their entry till July 18, said the organisers in a press conference held in this regard at KN Singh Athletic Academy.

The half marathon is organised to promote athletics in the State and highlight the life and work of late international veteran athlete Kumam Nipamacha, said Kumam Sony, president of KN Singh Athletic Academy.

The theme of the half marathon is "Run for Sports Legacy", he added.

Sony also added that those intending to take part in the run may contact the academy via mobile numbers-7005103491/8787828476/9233833020 .

The run carries a cash prize of Rs 50,000 for the winner; Rs 30,000 for the runners up and Rs 20,000 for the second runners up along with certificates, he said while adding that the entry fee for the event is Rs 200 .
