Nine state wushu players depart for World junior championships

Imphal, September 21 2024:
Nine state athletes left Imphal on Saturday to join the Indian team for the 9th World Junior Wushu Championships.
The competition will be held in Brunei from September 22 to 30, 2024 .
Jona Princie Konsam, Ngamba Aheibam, Nameirakpam Athoibi, Khumukcham Hulison Luwang, Khwairakpam Jetish Singh, Koijam Lanchenba, Nongmaitgem Pamheiba Singh, Rajkumari Lanchenbi Chanu and Okram Iyathoi Meitei will join the Indian team.
They are accompanied by coaches Langoljam Pradipkumar Singh and Sanglakpam Chaobi Devi.
Meanwhile, Khwairakpam Jetish Singh and Nongmaithem Pamheiba Singh, who trained under the Youth Affairs & Sports's RCC Wushu programme, were congratulated for their selection.
Jetish recently won a medal at the Asian Championship 2024, as well as a gold medallist at a national level competition.
