Ranji Trophy: Manipur, Sikkim share spoils in final Plate Group tie

Manipur and Sikkim settled for a draw in their fifth and final Plate Group tie of the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 at Anand in Gujarat as Sikkim held on with 129/5 in 28.5 overs of their second innings before the captains shook their hands.
Resuming the day at 53/3, Manipur added 171 runs thanks to Kangabam Priyojit's 48 and an 89-ball 64 by Pheiroijam Jotin and RK Rex's 26 to finish with a second innings total of 224 runs and take a 245-run lead.
Ankur Malik finished with the best haul of 4/92 in this innings for Sikkim as Palzor Tamang finished with the figures of 2/14 while three others claimed a wicket apiece.
Continuing the day, Palzor Tamang 45 and Lee Yong Lepcha 26 were unbeaten as the match was brought to a close with the Sikkim's scoreboard reading 129/5 in 28.5 overs.
Parth Palawat also added 33 for Sikkim before he was removed by Bishworjit Konthoujam.
Bishworjit Konthoujam (3/33 in 7 overs) and RK Rex (1/17 in 3 overs) shared four wickets before the game was declared drawn.
Pheiroijam Jotin, who finished with the match haul of 2 wickets and 213 runs across the two innings, was adjudged player of the match.
