ESU hold XI Star 1-1; easy win for KIYC in Imphal East Super Division

Imphal, October 01 2015: ESU, Khurai held XI Star SU, Akampat 1-1 while KIYC, Kshetri Iril Mapal humiliated Citizens Club, Soibam Leikai by a margin of 5 goals to nil in the ongoing Maharajkumar Ghanendrajit Memorial Super Division League, organised by the Imphal East District Football Association (IWDFA), today at SWC Ground, Khongman.

In the first match, S Thoi scored a goal for XI Star in the 47th minute while Sringam found the equaliser for ESU in the 56th minute.

In today's second match, a brace each from Zangminthang in the 5th, 33rd minute and Abdul in the 43rd and 65th minute and a goal from Anish in the 54th minute helped KIYC clinch a convincing 5-0 win against a hapless Citizens Club.

Imphal East 1st Division League : NESU, Khurai advanced while SSC, Porompat and UDO, Heingang played out a 1-1 draw in the ongoing Moirangthem Ibobi 1st Division Football League, organised by the Imphal East District Football Association (IEDFA), today at ABA Ground, Kshetrigao.

In the first match goals from L Lalit (14th, 19th), David (45th, 70th), Simon (6th) and Monipham in the 16th minute gave a huge 6 goal margin to NESU while Jacob found the solitary goal for TYWO in the 46th minute.

In another group match between SSC, Porompat and UDO, Heingang, Abungthoi slotted in a goal for SSC in the 31st minute to help his side take a 1-0 lead in the first half.

Soon after the breather, Anil slammed home the equaliser in the 48th minute.

Somorendro of SSC and Roshan and Honpur of UDO were cautioned during the match while Ratan of SSC was sent off in the 62nd minute.
