AMSTA condoles demise of STFI president Jogender Singh, coach AK Baliyan

The All Manipur Sepaktakraw Association (AMSTA) has condoled the demise of Yogender Singh Dahiya, president Sepaktakraw Federation of India (STFI) and Ankit Kumar Baliyan, an international referee and assistant coach of team India, in a tragic road accident in Goa.
AMSTA, in a press release, said that the association convened a condolence meeting on November 9 to pay tribute to the late National figures.
The gathering not only recalled the contributions of the duo towards the Sepaktakraw movement in the National as well as international arena but also observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect.
AMSTA president W Jiten highlighted the crucial role played by Yogender Singh Dahiya, who was also serving as the vice president of International Sepaktakraw Federation of India during the condolence meeting, it said.
Jiten had also said that their demise has left a huge void in the sporting fraternity, particularly in the field of Sepaktakraw, it said.
AMSTA general secretary, P Durjit, also commemorated both the personalities and maintained that their loss will badly hit the preparatory work in view of the Japan Asian Games 2026, it said.
The association also shared the grief and sorrow of the bereaved family members.
