YUCC beat YPHU by 14 runs in Veteran Cricket

Imphal, January 07 2025: YUCC, Kwakeithel beat YPHU, Lalambung by 14 runs in a Group B match of the ongoing 21st Manipur Veteran Cricket Tournament at Langthabal Public Ground for the second win in three matches.

YUCC posted 153 for all wickets down in 28.1 overs and restricted YPHU to 139 in 28.4 overs to seal the victory.

Kh Raju 39 not out, Md Noushad Ali 34 and Sibananda 12 led the scoring for YUCC after they won the toss and elected to bat first.

For YPHU, Kumarkanta shone with the ball as he finished with a four wicket haul (4/13) while Romio claimed two wickets before they ended up scoring 139 runs in the chase.

For YUCC, P Bidison returned with the best bowling figures of 3/29 as Ch Nishi (2/26), Abdul Khalique (2/24) and Manikumar (2/10) shared a bulk of 6 wickets.

P Bidison was adjudged player of the match.
