Senapati, May 31 2025: The District Level 64th Subroto Cup International Football Tournament 2025, organised by the District Youth Affairs and Sports Office, Senapati, concluded successfully on Friday (May 30, 2025), at Senapati Astro Turf.

The event was held for boys in the Under-15 and Under-17 categories and girls in the Under-17 category.

In the Under-15 boys' final, Mt Zion Sr Sec School emerged victorious, securing the championship title against Saklim Christian English School in a penalty shootout (4-3), after both teams were tied 2-2 at full time.

Saklim Christian English School claimed the Under-17 boys' title by defeating Mt Zion Senior Secondary School, also through a penalty shootout (4-3), following a 3-3 draw during regulation time.

In the Under-17 girls' category, Samaritan Public School's team was declared the champion by default, as no other teams participated in the event.

During the closing ceremony, Rang David Kung, MCS, additional deputy commissioner of Senapati, addressed the gathering.

He highlighted the potential of sports as a viable career path, emphasising the importance of sportsmanship and determination.

He encouraged students to actively participate in various extracurricular activities and extended his best wishes on behalf of the deputy commissioner to the finalist teams.

The ceremony concluded with the ADC distributing trophies and certificates to the winners and runners-up.
