Meiraba wins senior men's singles title at BWF Nepal Intl Challenge

Imphal, December 26 2024:
Manipur's Maisnam Meiraba Luwang clinched the senior men's singles title at the BWF Nepal International Challenge 2024 hosted by Nepal Badminton Association under the aegis of BWF/ Badminton Asia Confederation at Tripureshwor, Nepal.
Meiraba, who finished with a bronze medal in the BWF Telangana International Challenge 2024 held last month, defeated compatriot BM Rahul Bharadwaj by 21-17, 2-16 points to seal the top honour today.

Earlier in the first round, Meiraba defeated Kiran Kumar Mekala 21-16, 21-18 before beating Gagan Balyan 21-8, 21-14 in the pre-quarterfinal match.
In the quarterfinal match, Meiraba defeated Sri Lankan Vien Nettasinghe 21-18, 15-21, 21-19 before defeating Siddhanth Gupta of India 21-18, 21-17 in the semi-final and sealed his final ticket.
