Kh Luwangsana clinches 49 kg category gold in ASMITA Weightlifting League

Imphal, October 25 2026: Kh Luwangsana of KYUC sealed the 49 kg category gold medal in the ASMITA District Weightlifting tournament for Bishnupur district that was hosted at SAI-STC Utlou by Manipur Weightlifting Association.

Luwangsana recorded best 64 kg in snatch and 90 kg in clean and jerk to seal the gold medal as P Arish of NGAKSA (total 100 kg) bagged the silver and L Anjali of NSA sealed the bronze with an accumulative lift of 76 kg.

Ch Jenifer of YSWA, Utlou meanwhile claimed the 53 kg category gold with an accumulative lift of 150 kg, 67 in snatch and 83 kg in clean and jerk, as Ritina Maibam of KLYDC recorded a total of 148 kg and N Gunileima of NGAKSA posted a 128 kg lift to finish second and third.

L Milky Chanu of KLYDC managed best 60 kg lift in snatch and 75 kg in clean and jerk to seal the 57 kg category gold medal as S Lingelthoibi of IYC (total 129 kg) and S Utarani of KYUC (total 121 kg) settled for the silver and the bronze medals.

L Madam of KLYDC was the 61 kg category winner with an accumulative lift of 175 kg (75 kg in snatch and 100 kg in clean and jerk) as N Ambika of YUC managed 125 kg and S Nandibaza of NAVY recorded 90 kg for the silver and the bronze medal finishes.

The 69 kg category gold medal on the other hand went to L Chareihan of NAVY by recording a total lift of 140 kg (55 kg in snatch and 85 kg in clean and jerk) as RK Tamphasana of SHLA (135 kg) and Sh Lingjel of YSWA (115 kg) settled for the silver and the bronze medals.

Lanleima Maibam of KLYDC, meanwhile, claimed the 77 kg category gold recording 70 kg snatch and 95 kg in clean and jerk as H Gitanjali of YSWA posted 155 kg for the silver medal and P Roshni of YSWA managed 105 kg for the bronze medal.

The day also saw M Rama of YSWA securing the 86 kg category gold with a total lift of 175 kg, 75 in snatch and 100 kg in clean and jerk as O Dhaneshwori of KYUC recorded 50 kg in snatch and 60 kg in clean and jerk to settle for the silver medal.
